Coalition Director

The Get Healthy Guilford Coalition Director is Leslie Armeniox, PhD, LPC, BC-DMT. Dr. Armeniox has been in private practice in the Greensboro community, and has taught counseling, psychology, and health education courses as adjunct faculty at several local colleges and universities. In her clinical practice she worked with individuals who were compulsive overeaters and those who had disordered eating. She is a researcher and writer, and has served as a clinical and site supervisor for undergraduate and graduate level interns.

Dr. Armeniox also has worked as a dancer/dance educator, choreographer, personal trainer, and exercise instructor. She developed several movement programs based on educational kinesiology and developmental movement. Dr. Armeniox has experience with advocacy at both state and national levels through her roles as State Chair of the National Alliance for Pupil Service Organizations, Government Affairs Chair for the American Dance Therapy Association (ADTA), and the ADTA Liaison to the American Counseling Association.
